Gökerplast meter seals are specially developed to protect utility meters, tachographs against unauthorized tampering, to instantly detect attempts to open them, and to ensure measurement reliability.
With over 25 years of manufacturing experience, we provide highly secure, durable, and traceable security seal solutions tailored to the needs of meter manufacturers and distribution companies worldwide.
1. High-Level Security
Gökerplast meter seals, thanks to their single-use locking mechanism, cannot be resealed once opened. Any attempt to break, cut, or remove them will leave a clear mark.
2. Protection Against Counterfeiting
Each seal can be personalized with a laser-printed Barcode or QR-Code and a company logo . This makes it easy to detect attempts at copying, altering, and unauthorized tampering.
3. Resistance to Harsh Environmental Conditions
Special engineering polymers with high resistance to UV rays, temperature differences, humidity, and external environmental conditions are used. Ideal for long-term outdoor use.
4. Compliance with International Standards
Our products comply with ISO standarts , meter industry requirements, and European standards. They are manufactured in accordance with the technical specifications of electricity and natural gas distribution companies.
5. Flexible Design and Implementation
With various wire types, colors, and plastic material options;
Gökerplast meter seals are ergonomically designed to enable installation teams to perform quick, practical, and error-free applications in the field. They can be locked without the need for hand tools, saving time in the field.
Unauthorized tampering with meters results in both revenue loss and security risks.
Gökerplast meter seals effectively prevent illegal meter usage, meter manipulation, and unauthorized opening attempts.

Meter seals in different sizes for different applications.
Meter seals are security devices used to prevent tampering or unauthorized access to meters, valves, and other equipment. They typically consist of a metal or plastic lock body combined with a wire loop that passes over specific parts of the equipment to be protected. Once the sealing process is complete, the seal can only be removed by cutting it, providing a visible indication of any potential tampering.
Different wire materials can be used in meter seals depending on the application: • Galvanized steel wire – For standard use and general security. • Stainless steel wire – To provide corrosion resistance in harsh environments. • Copper or tinned copper wire – Preferred when flexibility and conductivity are required. The diameter and length of the wire are selected according to the meter design and sealing requirements.
Meter seal application steps: The seal wire is threaded through the locking holes or hooks of the meter. Both ends of the wire are placed into the seal body, and the wire is compressed to lock it. A unique serial number is printed or engraved on the seal for traceability.
